Yesterday I went to a ladies club and did a demonstration of encaustic art. This is one of the pictures that I painted. Encaustic art is created by melting high density coloured wax onto the bottom of a small travel iron. The iron is then applied to special shiny card to create patterns. The results can be stunning and you are never quite sure what the final picture will look like ! I have two more that I will show on here tomorrow and Friday.....
