well, it is a beautiful day today.....

This painting is another 4x6 painting (postcard Art)...I haven't listed it anywhere yet as I am not sure where to list it.

I am also going to give facebook a miss for a while as it was behaving in a funny way and then I got a virus. Luckily my pc picked it up and removed it but I am sure that facebook was the culprit as the rest of my pc was ok....

I am also not going to open any emails with jokes for a while just in case....better safe than sorry....

Nothing like a touch of purple to start the day.

Very misty and damp outside so a bit of colours brightens things up.

I hope to get some more painting done today....

Sales have slowed down quite a bit lately. I often go to ebay and see who is selling to see if I can understand why some people sell loads and others nothing....baffles me

I see people having multiple bids on their PRINTS and yet often I seem to have no bids on my originals. I see bids on work that is nice but nothing special.....all a mystery.....

thought I would do something a bit different today. We have had so much rain lately that I was inspired to paint this one.

Mind you, I much prefer rain to snow and ice......

This one was drawn in pencil and then pen and ink....followed by watercolours......

I had to take the car to the garage to be serviced this morning...it is a long walk back up....very steep climb. I got three quarters of the way back up when a car stopped to give me a lift. It was actor Michael Sheen's dad.....he ran me the rest of the way home......thank you Meyrick !! I am now waiting for the call to walk DOWN to get it....at least it is easier going down.....

I can't get on with any painting because I don't like stopping in mid flow...so here is one that I made yesterday......

Tuesday

Yesterday, I made my frist attempt at painting in acrylics. Here is the result. I have a lot to learn as I think the river looks more like a road....perhaps I should paint it brown !

It was also a much larger painting than I have ever attempted before. This one is 14" x 8" and so it took a whole new thought pattern to achieve it. And I forgot to add my usual two birds in the sky !!

a beautiful day here in South Wales...all the flowers are beginning to appear in the garden....the crocii are in bloom in town and the daffodils are almost in flower....lovely...

this encaustic painting, I have named ice cavern. With encaustic painting you never really know what the results will be like...you just keep moving the wax around until you like the picture. I thought that on this one, it looked like a tiny house on the left with pointed rocks, so I named it Ice Cavern.

I love the mix of the blues and mauves on this. Encaustic art is such fun to do and the results can be quite amazing.

Yesterday I went to a ladies club and did a demonstration of encaustic art. This is one of the pictures that I painted. Encaustic art is created by melting high density coloured wax onto the bottom of a small travel iron. The iron is then applied to special shiny card to create patterns. The results can be stunning and you are never quite sure what the final picture will look like ! I have two more that I will show on here tomorrow and Friday.....

a blue theme for me for today.....mostly done by dabbing the brush on the paper to see what effects I could get....(my compulsory two birds are still there though...lol)

The Sun is shining in South Wales....pity about the frost on the car....roll on Spring...

had a lovely lie in this morning...just got up and dressed in time for my Asda delivery...phew...lol

I have spent most of the afternoon painting as I have sold three aceos this weekend. Not mega bucks but every little bit helps.....

I have a very busy week so need to get more painting done tonight......stock piling !!!

Just listed this one on ebay. Similar to the purple one which has already sold and since I am getting good feedback on this style, I plan to do a few more this afternoon

I liked the painting I did yesterday and so decided to do something similar in a different range of colours.

Browns are not normally my choice of colours but they are very popular from a selling point of view....

this one has been done in an encaustic art "style"...but done with watercolour paints. I love the effect of creating a cavern look and that you can see different things in the painting....

this one has a lot more colour than I usually put on landscapes but I like colour and don't particularly like just greens and browns. I think a bit of unusual colour in a painting is nice.

The fog has all gone from last night and I can see the seafront again. It looks like it is damp outide but it is still a bit dark, so difficult to see.
