well there are loads of people wandering around town dressed up in Halloween costumes.....I have a huge bag of sweets for tomorrow, but I thinkI had better put them out in case any kids knock the door tonight.

Had a nice chicken dinner in town,....now time to sit down and do some painting.....

today I have been to town sitting on a table collecting donations for Age Concern. Two lovely lads gave us 4 packets of mince pies and a huge box of Christmas crackers for the old folk's Christmas dinner.

How kind was that !!!

Just a SIMPLE PIECE OF FOLK ART today.....this is titled..."Has anyone seen the cat?"

I bought a nice art book today , on a shopping trip. I need to learn some techniques and there is no one where I live to shoe me how. So If I can't get to an art class, then i will have to learn from books.....

Because winter is coming and because the sun is shining, I thought I would cheer everyone up today with pics of Grandma's day out at the beach...... much better than thinking of cold and ice and snow.....

today I had to take my car to the garage on a recall...apparently I read online that the driver's airbags keep inflating without warning. When I arrived, as usual, the zapper to my door lock didn't work properly and the car made several bleeps....mmm....I told the garage about this last time I was there and the man tried to tell me how to use the zapper (duh)...today I mentioned it to the LADY on the reception desk and she said....Oh ...no problem, I'll reprogram the keys for you!!

Moral...if you need a job doing, ask a LADY !!!!!!!!

well yesterday I was up to my eyes in typing notes for a local voluntary organisation and then the main pc threw a wobbly...so I didn't have time to do my blog....sigh....

this is a pencil sketch which I hope to eventually paint and list on ebay or in one of my shops.....

It will probably take a while to finish it but this is the work in progress....more to follow

Had to scrape ice off the car today....brrr and then I got a call from the garage to say that they wanted my car as there was a recall on it...so I have to take it in next Tuesday....it will take about 2 hours....so another day spent sitting waiting for things...sigh.....still, better than having something go wrong with it.....

Tuesday

Today , here is an art deco lady aceo which is now listed on ebay.

I am going to help at the Age Concern day centre today as the manager is off sick and they are short staffed. So I won't have much time to paint. I have also ordered a lot of craft goodies from Create and Craft and also a book on painting fairies from Play.com ....so the postman will be very busy this week. We live on a very steep hill, so I often feel sorry for the poor postman if he has lots of parcels.

what a beautiful day here in Wales...the sea is sparkling and the sky blue with just a few clouds.....the windows are all open and I have just made a nice batch of Welsh cakes....anyone for tea?

today the weather definitely turned colder and I have the heating on.....

I collated a lot of my paintings and numbered them so that I can find them if I need them.

I have had a good day today for sales...cartoons, cards and paintings....wow.....

Went to a funeral today...we were told that it was 11.30 at the church. Got there at 11.10...not a sign of a soul (ha ha) waited until 11.45 and came home again...perhaps the deceased changed their mind....very odd.....not a soul turned up !!! (TRUE!).....

beautiful day outside....tomorrow I need to paint as my stocks are getting low and I have had a few days when I have been so busy that I haven't had the time...

Today I made a baby card for a baby girl. I have listed this in my folksy shop. There is a debate going on on Folksy about pricing but for me I prefer to keep my prices as low as is possible so that everyone has the opportunity to buy a quality and original card.

I have been trying my hand at scenes today....Not very good at them but I reckon the only way to improve is to keep practicing.....this one was done by dropping paint onto a card and then dipping the card into water and letting the colours blend.

Today I also did some cartoon aceos ready for listing on ebay tomorrow......

It has been a beautiful day today...blue skies and sunshine...in some ways it has been better than any day through the summer.....I just hope that winter is mild this year to make up for the lousy summer
