this is my latest encaustic painting. I love the results you can get just by melting wax on the bottom of an iron.....

The main picture was done with the iron and then the castle was drawn with an encaustic stylus.......

It has been a beautiful day today....I shall paint this evening when I am watching tv.....

another lovely Spring day today...the sun is shining and the sea is glistening....so I am showing a winter scene...lol....

I am still trying to learn new watercolour techniques...particularly backgrounds and skies....

I was thrilled this morning to see that Create and Craft had Michael Bossom doing an encaustic art demo on there.....I was glued to the tv. I hope that he comes back on a regular basis.....he did some lovely pictures in seconds....amazing....

here is yet another encaustic painting. It measures 4" x 6". This one is a pure fluke...I did a painting that started out as brown and orange and I really didn't like it...so I remelted the wax and this was the result.....amazing what you can do with an iron !!

Here is an encaustic art painting, measuring 4x6 which is postcard size.

An encaustic painting is made by painting with melted wax. The effects can be stunning.....and you never know what the results will be.......I shall show another one tomorrow

This one was an experiment for me...trying to paint water...not easy....

I still had to have my two obligatory birds in it !!!

A beautiful day in South Wales...sun shining and the windows all open.....the squirrel keep coming in the house for their monkey nuts....aaah sweet...

here is another box canvas painting that I did over the weekend. I love the tiny easels that come with each canvas.

Today is a beautiful sunny day with daffodils blooming in the garden.....hopefully Spring is on its way at last....although there is snow in Scotland.....glad we live down South !!

this is a mini box canvas that I finished last night...it is very tiny...just 3.5" x 2.75".....the little easel is tiny too....

A beautiful day here, overlooking the sea. Seems hard to believe that there is SNOW in Scotland !

here is another in my encaustic series...this one has the trees decorated with silver wax. The tree was created using a special pen like tool that holds wax in the nib.....

You can never be sure what the results will be, so it is great fun to do.....

continuing in my new more colourful style....here is another castles fantasy painting. I am basing the idea on a lot of the encausting paintings, although this one is painted in watercolours. I have a new set of watercolours and I am really loving the vivid colours that they produce.

Spent all day out and about today...went to Home Bargains which is the shop that took over Woolworth's. Bought two lovely sets of paint brushes.....and one of the sets was under £5 the other was only 99p....and the quality is beautiful....not at all cheap quality....I am thrilled with my purchases today.....

well although it is cold outside, there are definite signs of Spring....the daffodils are flowering and there are buds on the trees......

I have been busy painting again and here is my latest work of art.....purple of course. This one is 4" x 6" for a change...and I will be listing it soon....
