I love Saturdays...I don't have to get up early.....

Had time to paint three aceos this afternoon and here is one of them....

Friday again......very cold outside....but no ice on the car which is good.

Here is another of my tiny paintings which will probably be listed in my folksy shop over the weekend.

My new paint brushes have arrived so I am hoping now to get something a bit larger done, as this painting is only 2.5" x 3.5"

this is an encaustic painting...created by painting with melted wax on shiny card.

The results you get from the wax are amazing and a lot easier than it looks.

This is the second mini canvas that I have done and I am quite pleased with the way they have turned out. They look lovely with their own tiny easel.

this aceo was made by dropping coloured inks onto paper. This paper was then screwed up....unscrewed and left to dry. Once dry it was cut to size and glued to a stronger backing card. The butterfly was a print which was added and then glitter glue was added to the sides.....I think it is very pretty....

I had my 50th sale on Folksy today....woohoo....AND I got included in two treasuries on Etsy.....as for ebay....mmm...THEY sent me pictures of nude paintings, saying that they thought I might be interested in them....NOOOO...not !......

it must be cold this evening because my feet are freezing....

My daughter bought me some more mini easels with canvas today so I am really looking forward to painting on them and putting them up for sale soon. I also did two A4 cartoons this afternoon for my son's girlfriend so at least I got something done. I will post those off on Monday.......

I am not sure if I have posted this picture before or not....it has been a busy week !!!!

thank goodness it is Friday....looking forward to a nice lie in tomorrow. I have been busy painting and have just ordered some new paint brushes.... Just need some more time over the weekend, to take more pictures and do more listings....

Sold another painting yesterday, so all still going well.....

Some kind lady pointed out that I did not put the word "painting" as a tag on my listings...and this would get me more views.....so I have been back and added it to all my listings !!! Just shows you have to remember to tag your work with important words or they won't be seen by shoppers.....

frost outside this morning.....but one day nearer to Spring !! Still managing to get lots of painting done. Watched Create and craft yesterday, as there was an art programme on....didn't buy anything...too expensive. I wish that they wouldn't put everything to gether in more expensive deals.....I might have bought a paint brush but I don't want to spend over £49 on a set.....

Been another busy day....painting and taking pictures ready for listing. Dollhouse is showing a different aceo on facebook each day which is good. We are getting more and more people joining in our crusade. Some new painters, some are painters that haven't picked up a paintbrush in years and have found a new love in art. Some are just buyers who appreciate all the fantastic work on Folksy and etsy.

Yesterday I bought a mini canvas and mini easel in the Works.....really sweet...just painted one of my water scenes on it and it looks good so far.

Watched the art programme on C&C this morning the artist Ash is brilliant...he did two very quick demos...very inspiring.

This is the first landscape that I have tried since getting my new art instruction book. I love the colours and my trees are improving...still got a long way to go but this book is really good with showing work in progress pictures...

well the painting that I showed on my blog yesterday, sold within seconds of being listed. I will just have to paint faster. Today a fabulous book on the art of William Alexander arrived, so I hope to get some ideas and inspiration from it. Google William Alexander and see his wonderful paintings...and watch his demos on youtube !

I am quite pleased with this painting.....strange how some turn out lovely and others rubbish !!! All a learning curve I suppose......

I am hoping to get a new art book from Amazon today and that will help me with techniques....I have been watching youtube videos but it is difficult to paint and watch them at the same time, so I thought that a book might help.....

Raining here in South Wales....but anything is better than snow !!

well today , here is another snowscene from me. I just hope that the snow stays on the picture and doesn't visit me for real !! We are forecast 10 days of rain now and I never thought that I would like rain !!

I have been watching lots of youtube art demos which are brilliant...all I have to do now is to put them into practice !!

well, thankfully none of the predicted snow here....just heavy rain....there are lots of nasty clouds over Devon though, but they are heading towards Cardiff and not this way (at the moment)

Another flower painting from me today.....just to bring a touch of Spring on this cold winter's day. Some people are forecast snow tomorrow but we are forecast heavy rain...I hope that is correct !!

Something a bit different today. I have been experimenting with Chinese water brushes. The techniques are different from ordinary painting. I have a lot to learn...lol.

I have a few books on the techniques and have also been watching some youtube videos....some of the work on there is stunning....

With vat going up and everything costing more, I need to get cracking on painting and selling......

We have managed to remain snow free over the weekend, even though there was snow in the next town...phew...
