Woohoo, I sold the cartoon card of the man who liked little things !! Here is an aceo painting that I am putting on ebay today. An aceo, for those of you who don't know is an art card, edition and original. It is a small card which is 2.5" x 3.5" and one that gets sold. It differs from an ATC because an ATC is swapped or given away free.

I painted this one in water colours...the drawing was done in pencil first and then inked over before I painted it.

I have three to list on ebay and am hopeful of getting a sale.

It looks like being another beautiful day today...i live in hope. The last day of August.....soon people will start shopping for Christmas !!!! (I hope)...

Monday 30th August

Today I drew and painted a cartoon card which I have listed in my folksy shop. Unfortunately the picture in the shop got "squared" off and so the words don't show up. That is a lesson to learn for next time....take a picture from a further distance !!...At least it was easier taking a picture of a painting than it was of the crochet.....that was much more difficult.

Tomorrow I hope to list some of my paintings on ebay. I haven't done that for a while, so it will be interesting to see if I get any sales !!

A beautiful day outside. We decided to go shopping and I bought some more card, paper and glue.....as if I didn't have enough already.....lol

what a beautiful sunny day with the sea gleaming......went out to Sunday lunch in a restaurant on the seafront....lovely.
Got home and drew and painted some cartoons ready for mounting onto cards.

I have been busy sorting out items to list and today I listed the hand drawn and hand painted little girl card.....I have decided to list it post free and although I doubt if I will earn more than a few pennies I am happy with that...

well...I am back !!!!! Been offline for a week while we changed out ISP.....thank goodness it is sorted. I am lucky that my son came to stay and he set it all up for us as we would never have known how to do it.
Now I can get back to my crafting and listing....can't wait....watch this space

Today I hand drew a little girl, fairy in pen and ink and then painted her with water colour paints. I also added glitter...(almost compulsory for me !!)

I waited for it all to dry and then mounted it onto gold card. I printed off some fairy paper from a cdrom and put the whole thing on a card with some ribbon.

Here is the resulting card.

There is not another one in the world the same as it is my own drawing....

here is a card I made using a rubber stamp and painted it with water colours.

It is mounted onto embossed holographic silver card.....

Today I rubber stamped and hand painted a fairy image and made a greetings card. When I had finished painting it I added glitter and ribbons and mounted it onto a hand paper pricked card....

The new Secret book, The Power is out today....my copy is on its way....woohoo.....
Been cold most of today although we did get some sunshine which was nice....right now we have a beautiful sunset and the sea is reflecting a beautiful red colour.
I have now put my two shops in vacation mode as I expect to be offline in the next day or two....not sure when we will get a new ISP....we still haven't received our MAC code from Virgin media and I understand that they have to send it within 7 days of asking. They received our letter last Thursday (recorded deliver and checked on) so they have until Friday morning.....
I would never recommend them to anyone they just do not respond to any of our letters.....not sure how they are staying in business.....

This is one of my psychic portraits drawn for a customer over the weekend. Psychic portraits can be of a Spirit guide or a loved one in the Spirit world.

Sometimes I get messages to go with the picture.

A beautiful day today and I am going to make the most of it as rain is forecast for the rest of the week

another of my cartoons. I used to draw these on greetings cards and draw and paint to order at craft fairs...those were the days...we used to have such fun. Sadly not many people go to craft fairs these days and not many people spending....

I am not sure which direction I am going in next...I cannot do anything until we sort our ISP and that might not be for another week or to...so I am liable to disappear at any moment.....

I wanted to put a picture of one of my encaustic paintings on here today but it wouldn't let me copy and paste it...so sadly I cannot do that.
I need to get some more pictures taken and put on my pc and then I will be able to download them.

well, today I did two portraits which I shall post off in home made envelopes. I enjoy making envelopes and decorating them with glitter. Today's ones were orange and blue which are two colours that go together well.....
It has been cold again today...will we ever see a summer. We didn't have one last year and it is looking the same for this year. Still at least we don't have floods or forest fires so I am grateful for that.

Wednesday

For years now I have done psychic work....readings, psychic portraits and now I feel drawn back to do the work again. NOT I hasten to add gypsy rosalie type stuff .....that is for fairgrounds.
I draw pictures of people's Spirit guides and sometimes I get a picture of a loved on or relative....I never know what I am going to draw. I sat in a development circle for years and I know that now is the time to pick up where I left off last year.
The crochet is fun and my passion but I know that it is time to follow my Spiritual pathway again.....
I shall never forget the first picture I drew it was of an elderly man's deceased wife...the tears in his eyes when he saw the picture was something that i will always treasure. Sometimes I draw a picture and it takes time for the person to be recognised but that is the way it works.
Today I bought some new art paper and I got requests for THREE psychic portraits in the post...how odd is that? They all said that I had been recommended to them...yet I have no clue who recommended me nor when?

Today I altered my folksy shop so that I can include some of the other items that I make. I love crochet and it is my passion but 4 months without a single sale has made me rethink what it is that I am doing. Here is one of my cartoons. I used to make and sell cartoon cards to order and loved doing it. Once I get my new ISP I hope to list not only cartoons, but greetings cards and paintings.....

Monday

I love my crochet...I always will. I love to paint and draw and to make cards and do needlefelting. BUT things are really slow at the moment and I need some income....I registered as self employed so it would be silly to give up now....
SO I have decided to do my psychic readings again......I trained for years to do this, so I might as well make use of my gifts. It will mean that at least I can still crochet etc but the pressure to sell will be lifted and I can enjoy what I make instead of churning out items in the hope of a sale.
For years I did readings and advertised in Psychic News and met some fabulous people.....so I have put a new advert in...at least I know that I will get a small income from doing this.
I feel so much better now and can sit and crochet in the evenings making things that I want to make...the pressure is OFF...

well I have almost finished the lady's waistcoat....it should be finished by tonight. Then I will have to think what I am going to make next. The wardobe is bulging with unsold items....how many more can it take without a sale?????
Thinks seem to be really slow right now and it is not just me...everyone seems to be in the same boat.....
There must be someone out there with some money who would like to buy something from me...I wait in anticipation.
Years ago, I couldn't make things fast enough to keep up with demand......what went wrong?

Had a nice day out today....so didn't get any crochet done......
Not a sign of a wool shop or any yarn anywhere again.......I wonder if the people in this part of the world crochet or knit any more......If they do, then they must either travel afar or order online.......

I made this freeform pass a few years ago and couldn't bear to part with it...so I kept it....it is in my favourite colours.......There are not many eyelash yarns in the shops at the moment, I hope they bring them back for the winter....

The lady's jacket is coming along nicely ...I am using a mixture of oranges and browns....autumn colours.....It will probably take me quite a while to finish it and I think I need a few more brown, so I might pop to the shops tomorrow and see what is available.
I am also sorting yarns into bags ready for some freeform work.....my passion.......

well I decided today to go back to making a lady's waistcoat. I used to make dozens of them when I was doing craft fairs and they were always popular.
I now have a large bag of matching and blending colours. Just need to get started...watch this space

well a very disappointing day today. I listed 4 beanies....two slouch ones, one ordinary one and a baby one, ...on ebay and not a single bid....I was only asking £4.50 for the smaller ones and £5.99 for the slouch beanies......

I need to have a rethink about what I am doing...I cannot keep crocheting and fcilling the wardobe with unsold items....mmm.....help......
